How a case runs

01

Instruct by email or online

Send the international application number, or the mark or design, by email or through the online order form. Online, upload the WIPO publication: the form reads the bibliographic data, counts the claims and works out the Korean deadline.

02

Quote and invoice first

You see our fees, the translation and the KIPO official fees before anything is filed, and receive an invoice in US dollars.

03

Applicant code and power of attorney

We obtain the KIPO applicant code for your client and send the power of attorney. A signed scan is enough; no notarisation.

04

Filing and reporting in English

We file with KIPO and report in English with the official receipts. Every order can be followed online, with its status, deadlines and invoices.

Questions from firms

Can we instruct you by email?

Yes. Email your instructions to lnbip@lnbip.com or place the order online; either way you receive a quote and an invoice before we file, and every report comes to you in English.

Does the power of attorney need to be notarised?

No. A signed scan of the power of attorney is accepted, and no notarisation or legalisation is needed. We send you the form after the order is confirmed.

Are KIPO official fees included in the fixed fees?

No. Official fees are added at cost and shown separately in every quote. Our online quote calculates them for your case, with the reductions that apply.

Who handles the work?

Every case is prepared and signed by a registered Korean patent attorney, and every report comes to you in English.

Who pays bank charges?

The client. We need to receive the invoiced amount in full; invoices are in US dollars.
